There's a particular kind of desperation that comes with feeling terrible and not knowing why.
We know it intimately.
Where It All Began
TrueWellness wasn't born in a boardroom or from market research. It was born from pain, frustration, and from personal, burning conviction that there had to be a better way to navigate your health.
One of us watched our liveliness slip away while doctors offered generic advice that felt disconnected from who we actually were. Another was misdiagnosed for years while inflammation took over his body as he was misdiagnosed time after time. We all had to find the answers ourselves, with a system telling us we were wrong.
Our entire founding team shares the obsession of health and wellness. We're incredibly extreme in our belief that the two shouldn't be a luxury, nor should they take years of people's life to find a solution to.
When TrueWellness started, it was a solution we all wanted, above all else. We were looking for a system that would actually see us, and that would treat us like the complex, unique individuals we are, not as a collection of symptoms semantically compared to standard guidelines.
The Problem Nobody Was Solving
Here's what we learned through our own painful journeys: the current healthcare system isn't designed for wellbeing. It's generally designed for crisis management.
The system is innately quite reactive. Even for those who pushed for proaction: they'd get a test, get results, and maybe you get a follow up weeks later that didn't actually address the cause, just the output.
The most frustrating part to us was that the technology exists to do better. Incredible developments over the last decade have allowed us to track HRV (heart rate variability) in real time- from a watch. In the same way, we can monitor glucose continuously, or analyze genetic markers and microbiome composition.
Clinical science has been advancing incredibly fast, yet consumer delivery hasn't been. Our social media algorithms likely know us better than we know ourselves, yet nothing existed to know your body. Nobody was creating a system that actually learned from you, adapted to you, and empowered you to make decisions based on your unique biology and your real life.
What True Wellness Actually Means
"True wellness" isn't about hitting arbitrary targets or living up to someone else's definition of health- a mindset deployed in clinical settings. It's about living your best life, every single day, empowered.
This means waking up with energy, having the mental clarity to focus on what matters, feeling confident in your body, having the vitality to chase your dreams, and actually enjoy the life you're building.
It requires a fundamentally different approach than what currently exists.
Building Something Different
From our first meeting in a garage, we recognized TrueWellness had to be more than a product with features and a scoreboard. It had to be a living, learning ecosystem, and one that would meet you where you are, and grow with you.
We built it to do what no doctor, app, or wellness program ever did for us: continuously listen, learn, and adapt at every second, of every day. At the core of true wellness is one thing that many systems miss. It isn't your wearables, or your bloodwork, It's your daily experiences- it's what makes you you.
We never forgot what it felt like to be on the other side. To feel lost, unheard, out of control, and unconsidered. To feel like just another number.
The Night Owl, The New Parent, The Hidden Imbalance
When TrueWellness looks at you, it doesn't just see glucose curves and sleep cycles. It sees people.
We see the founder burning the midnight oil, trying to change the world while their cortisol screams for rest. We see the new parent desperate for energy, wondering if they'll ever feel like themselves again. We see the athlete nursing a hidden imbalance that no coach or doctor has caught yet.
In all your complexity, all your contradictions, all your potential we see you. And this is the number one thing we set out to do.
Because that's what was missing for us. Nobody saw the whole picture. Nobody connected the dots between our biomarkers, our behaviors, our aspirations, and our lived reality.
Trust
We wanted to take a second to address trust. We deeply value, and understand that trust isn't given freely, especially when it comes to your health and your most personal data.
This has been a core focus of building TrueWellness. Our top KPI (key performance indicator) has been building transparency into the foundation of everything we do. If you ever feel unsure, we want you to ask. Accountability doesn't just make us better- it's essential to the partnership we're trying to build with everyone we can impact.
Our Vision
What gets each and every one of us through every hard day, and through every sleepless night is the belief that precision science and human centric design can transform how we experience not only health, but the world around us.
We'll be straight up. We're not content with today's version of TrueWellness. We're committed to relentless learning, continuous refinement, and staying at the cutting edge of what's possible.
