“Health is not built in moments of urgency.
It is laid, brick by brick, in daily choices—how you sleep, how you breathe, how you respond to your needs.
Your body is always rebuilding itself. Your job is not to interfere, but to support.
Foundations don't shout. They hold everything else in silence.
The invisible creates the visible. Build slow. Build deep. Build in alignment with your biology.”
We recently released https://www.thewayoftruewellness.com/ as a memoir to our values, what we stand for, and who we are. This collective was inspired by anthropic, in collaboration with rick ruben.
As we stand in 2025, we live in a world that thrives on urgency. From fast delivery of goods, to rapid results and immediate gratification it is abundantly clear. The data backs it up as well- society as a whole is becoming more and more impatient by the day, and more people than ever are taking the “easy” or quick way out. However, long term health doesn’t happen suddenly, it doesn’t come in crisis, and it doesn’t blossom overnight. Lasting health comes quietly, subtly, and profoundly.
The small choices we make each day have a vast impact on our lives. The decisions we make without consciously considering, the ones that have become so natural, have also become so destructive. A powerful example of this is sleep. In this digital age, the description to scroll for 5 more minutes becomes passive; intrinsic. Yet its downstream and secondary effects are vast.
Many of these choices are insignificant in isolation, yet poured together, they form the foundation of one's health- whether enduring or faint.
A phenomenal example of this is health as a garden. It does not flourish overnight. Rather, it takes time, patience, nurturing, and consistent effort. This is directly comparable to health: every mindful meal, gentle stretch, and conscious breath contributes to your long term health, much like every watering.
Our bodies possess an incredible, and immeasurable capacity to heal and renew. Each and every day, our cells regenerate, our tissues repair, and our systems recalibrate. The job of every individual isn’t to try and grow the fruit yourself, but provide the support and nurturing needed for the garden to grow itself.
Much like the foundation of the Burj Khalifa, or the emperor state building, the foundations of our health are silent, invisible, yet unexplainable essential. The quite consistent acts we do each day build the foundation that bears the weight of our entire being.
True health isn’t instant, as much as we all wish it could be. It’s a process. It invites patience, respect for our bodies, and alignment with one's unique needs and body. It is critical to embrace the slow, meaningful path, and to recognize and honor the invisible groundwork that creates vibrant, lasting health.
Health can be confusing, complicated, and overwhelming. There is no shortness or guidance or insights available, which can serve as a powerful tool. Yet this information must be taken with a grain of salt, or five. dào tīng tú shuō is a Chinese saying, meaning "To tell, as we go along, what we have heard on the way, is to cast away our virtue." In the same day and age where we, as individuals rush for results, gratification, and speed, it’s important to step back, and evaluate.
Our health system is not simple, it is complex. It’s essential to make informed, calculated decisions. This can be hard, with a lack of reliability, personalized guidance available. Our other 22 poems aim to guide one's understanding, and virtue through the process of holistic health. TrueWellness is here to transform, and disrupt a virtueless system, powered by incumbents for profit. We invite you to join us in this mission.
